Renting, organised from first visit to move-out.

OutRental is a planned platform that puts homeowners, tenants and brokers in one place: find a home, verify tenants, collect rent, handle repairs and paperwork, and carry a verified rental record from one home to the next.

Early-access members tell us which features matter most, and hear from us first.

Illustration of the idea. Not a real tenant, score or result.

Renting is a continuing relationship. Today it is handled like a one-time deal.

Many rentals still run on offline brokers, phone calls, WhatsApp messages, spreadsheets and paper files. These are the problems we have identified so far. We're now talking to real tenants and owners to find out which ones hurt most.

In the offline broking market

  • Tiring flat visits. Travelling to homes that don't match what was promised.
  • Unreliable scheduling. Visits delayed, cancelled or missed between brokers, owners and occupants.
  • Unclear brokerage value. Hard to tell whether the fee matches the service.
  • Too many calls. Repeated follow-ups for details, confirmations and documents.
  • Last-minute dropouts. Lost time and vacancy when a shortlisted deal falls through.
  • Scattered paperwork. Agreements, IDs, receipts and notices spread across folders and chats.

For homeowners

  • Hard to identify tenants who will pay reliably
  • Dependence on brokers for finding and screening tenants
  • Rental income lost while a home sits vacant
  • No clear view of dues, payments and lease expiry dates
  • Manual rent collection, receipts and accounting
  • Repairs and service providers hard to track
  • Time-consuming communication with tenants
  • Unclear records of past tenancies, payments and disputes
  • Admin hassle at tenant move-in and move-out
  • Little visibility into the yield of every property

For tenants

  • Finding a suitable home within budget and location
  • Incomplete or inaccurate listings
  • Visiting several homes before finding the right one
  • Brokerage costs, with unclear service in return
  • No record of conversations, commitments and payments
  • Awkward calls to the landlord about late rent or repairs
  • Slow repairs and unclear responsibility
  • Difficulty understanding rental agreements
  • Disputes over deposits, deductions and move-out dates
  • Inconvenient rent payment, limited flexibility in emergencies
  • Hard to get rent receipts and utility payment records

One platform for the whole rental, start to finish.

OutRental is meant to cover every stage of a tenancy, not just the property search.

Everything we're planning to build

What makes OutRental different

Listing sites help you find a home. Software helps you track rent. We want to do both, and add a trust record that stays with the tenant. We haven't completed a full competitor comparison, so we don't claim any single feature is unique.

The full rental lifecycle

A listing platform stops once a home is rented. OutRental stays useful through payments, leases, maintenance, accounting and move-out.

A rental trust layer that persists

The Rent Score builds over time and travels with the tenant across tenancies. It is more than a one-off identity check.

Software combined with services

Where it makes commercial sense, OutRental would help carry out visits, documentation, handovers and maintenance, not only provide screens.

Questions

Is OutRental live?

No. This page is for checking demand. We haven't built the product yet. Joining early access tells us what to build first and puts you on the list to hear from us.

What is the Tenant Rent Score?

An idea for a record of a tenant's rental behaviour, such as rent paid on time and verified tenancy history, that a tenant can share with a new landlord. It would need tenant consent, accurate data, privacy safeguards, and a way to correct mistakes and appeal.

Will OutRental replace brokers?

Not necessarily. The aim is to remove unnecessary brokerage friction. Brokers could still be service providers or distribution partners on the platform.

What will it cost?

Pricing isn't decided. We're asking in the form so we can learn what feels fair. Possible models include a subscription, a per-property fee, a per-transaction fee, a one-time payment, one month's rent as a brokerage fee, or a free basic plan.

Are the credit and deposit-guarantee features confirmed?

No. They are ideas we want to test. Both need a clear mechanism, legal and financial partners, and eligibility rules before they could be offered.

Which cities will it launch in?

Not decided yet. We're likely to start in one area and build from there. Your city in the form helps us choose.

What happens to my details?

You give them to us only when you submit the form. We use them to contact you about early access or your submission, and to understand what people want. The form saves your answers to our database, and other visitors to this site cannot see them.
